Supported Web Browsers for Vista 4.2 (known as MyLO)

Listed below are the supported operating systems and browsers for use with MyLO (Blackboard Learning System, formerly WebCT Vista). The Learning System is a Web-based application and other browsers and operating system may work well, however, the listed configurations are the only configurations that are tested and supported by Blackboard.

Supported JAVA Runtime Environment

The supported JRE for MyLO, is J2SE Runtime Environment 1.5.0 Update 7 up to and including version 1.6

Please ensure you only have ONE version of JAVA installed on you computer.

If your computer and browser configuration is not listed please go to http://www.webct.com/tuneup to ensure it is supported.

Supported Operating Systems

Certified operating systems include Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS X.

If you can install a supported web browser and the recommended Java Runtime Environment on any operating system, the product should function correctly.

Web Browser and Computer Settings

For MyLO to function as it should on your personal computer you will need to change some settings in your web browser and install the JAVA Runtime Environment onto your Apple or Windows computer.

The following help sheets include step-by-step instructions to ensure your web browser and computer settings are optimised for the best possible MyLO experience.

Additional Plug-ins
